About Dawn Ziegler, DVM
I grew up in Akron, Ohio and graduated from the University of Akron in 1995. I am a 1999 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Buckeyes!) and have been practicing in San Diego since graduation. After 8 years in regular veterinary practice, it was time to follow a new path. I started Home Sweet Home Veterinary Housecalls in 2007 with the goal of providing quality, compassionate care in the comfort of home. I have provided a variety of veterinary services (holistic and western care) to the San Diego community but found that the greatest need was having a way of saying goodbye to our best friends in the place that our pets feel the safest, at home. Along the journey, I have also completed the extensive training and testing required for Certification in Veterinary Chiropractic (AVCA) and Veterinary Acupuncture (IVAS). I also completed an intense training course in Traditional Chinese Medicine herbal therapy through the Chi Institute. My husband and I love living in Ocean Beach with our furry friends Koa, Mojo and Larry.
